TXRA Junior Team Camp

Woody Clouse came out for the TXRA Junior Camp this past weekend at the Maverick in Arlington, TX. Woody did a great job working with the assistant coaches and 24 kids that signed up. This was an excellent weekend camp that covered topics such as mental & visualization training, proper stretching techniques, fitness training, video analysis of stroke mechanics, court strategy and then we finished with a tournament on Sunday.
We gave out awards, had food all weekend and then a nice cookout by the pool with hamburgers and hotdogs on Saturday night. The kids were also treated to a special exhibition match as Woody played the #1 Junior player from Texas, Jansen Allen and also former IRT Pro Mike Guidry. Thanks to Jansen and Mike for also coming out.

Special thanks to all the parents who brought their kids from all over Texas and also volunteered to help with the camp. Also a big thanks to Bob Sullins, the owner of the Maverick for donating the club that weekend for the kids. I hope this picture gives some an idea of the fun we all had and how much we look forward to the next camp.
Woody also gave a great closing speech and made all the kids feel like winners.
